Cabinet Refacing/Refinishing

Standard Kitchen prior to remodeling

“Are you happy with the current layout of your Kitchen?”

If you are happy with the current layout of your kitchen but you want to add a new cabinet, or an island, or maybe even new counter tops, then cabinet refacing might be the best option for your kitchen or bathroom remodeling project. Having your cabinets refaced is the best way to update the look of your kitchen with a small budget.

We can show you what the finished appearance of your kitchen remodel will look like using our state-of-the-art 20/20 design software before you spend anything.

Before and After Cabinet Refacing

Cabinet refacing is much more economical because instead of needing completely new cabinets, we remove all of the doors and drawers and reuse the existing cabinet boxes.

We do not veneer the old doors or drawer fronts. Instead, we install new doors and drawer fronts with your choice of almost unlimited styles, wood species, and finishes.

We then help you pick the new surface for the old cabinet boxes. You can select whichever new wood, species, or stain finish for the new cabinet reface.

For example:

Let’s say the old cabinets were golden oak and you want a more classical or formal dark reddish cherry (or mahogany, etc…). We would then custom fabricate the new cherry veneers and stain them with your choice of stains. Next we apply it to the surface of the cabinet boxes. The wood species and finishes we offer for cabinet refacing are virtually unlimited. Next, we basically rebuild the interior of the cabinet boxes based on your needs. Such as;

  • Installing Lazy Susan’s to help get at the pans in the back of your cabinets.
  • Installing new drawer glides which can allow the drawers to extend out further making it easier to get to the back of the drawers.
  • Installing new soft closing hinges on the doors to prevent slamming.

Then we install the new doors, drawers, and possibly even crown moulding to extend the visible height of the cabinets toward the ceiling. There’s also the option of;

  • Adding new cabinets for even more space.
  • Adding a kitchen island to increase your counter and cabinet space.
  • Installing new appliances, counter tops, lighting, and even new flooring if desired.

“Would you like to have something truly unique?”

Whole Kitchen Remodel contrasting colors

Cabinet refacing allows us to do unconventional things. Most people just use the same wood species and finish on everything. We can mix it up by using one finish or wood species on the cabinet boxes, and a different finish or wood species for the doors, drawers, and crown moulding. This adds an extra dimension of color and contrast to the cabinet refacing project. We can even add glass in several of the cabinet doors.

Sometimes people get frustrated because they like the look of the more formal dark cabinetry but want the kitchen to be light and open looking. This way you can have both. Light cabinets with dark accents provide more depth and contrast.

As you can see, with cabinet refacing there is just about no limit to what we can do for you to realize the kitchen remodel of your dreams. We service all of Phoenix and valley-wide.
